Sarah has been designing and creating lovely homes for years. At five, she began
with her dolls, designing intricate houses for them using a variety of household items. She also designed her own room as a child many times over, as her family moved from place to place.
As an adult, her own homes—from her first apartment in San Francisco to her current
early-20th century house in Portland, Maine—reflect her love of color, space and structure.
Sarah's customers at 17 Reasons, an eclectic art boutique/gallery in San Francisco
she created in 1995, appreciated her stylish displays. With a background in studio + visual arts as well as retail, Sarah understands the elements of taking a product—be
it a home, glass ring or a painting—and displaying it in the most pleasing manner.
And at 105 Walnut Street, a re-build project on Portland's Munjoy Hill, Sarah managed day-to-day construction and renovation, and designed and staged the interior.
In addition to the flair she brings as a creative artist, Sarah gained the tools and skills to transform homes as a certified stager through Home Staging Institute in Portland, Oregon. Her education also includes an art degree from Pitzer College, a business-planning certificate from WISE, and courses at the Maine Photographic Workshop, Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, and Maine College of Art (MECA).
